When Maxwell Nkansah Antwi joined WopeCar in 2023, he was simply looking for a job. What he found instead was a place that helped shape his personal and professional growth.
“Back then, I wasn’t working. A friend, Gifty, told me about an opening at WopeCar. I came for the interview, got the job and by the grace of God, there’s been a real improvement in my life,” he says.
Max is now one of WopeCar’s three trusted drivers, responsible for delivering vehicles and chauffeuring clients to their destinations. But beyond the road, he has found something deeper; confidence.
“WopeCar has taught me how to approach people and handle myself in public. My confidence level has grown, and I’ve learned so much from the seminars and retreats they organize. It’s changed my life,” he reflects.
For Max, WopeCar isn’t just a workplace. It’s a space that invests in the well-being and development of its people; mentally, emotionally, and professionally.
“The company is very interested in our growth. They make sure we’re not just working, but becoming better people,” he adds.
Among his many memorable moments at WopeCar, one stands out: a chauffeured trip with a family to Kakum Park.
“They didn’t treat me like a driver; they treated me like family. We walked the canopy walkway together, explored nature, learned about history. It was my first time at Kakum, and it was amazing. All thanks to WopeCar,” Max shares.
While his least favorite task might be filling the delivery form (which he now does in advance to make it easier), his greatest reward is the feedback he receives from clients.
“Positive feedback empowers me. It reminds me I’m doing something right.”
To anyone considering joining WopeCar, whether as a worker, partner, or provider, Maxwell has no hesitation:
“It’s not just a job. It’s a family. And it’s a good decision.”
We’re proud to have people like Max helping us drive the WopeCar vision; freedom to go places and freedom to grow.
